School Meals

We believe that healthy, balanced meals are essential for learning, growth, and wellbeing. Our school kitchen provides freshly prepared meals each day, designed to be both nutritious and enjoyable for all students and staff. We use fresh, high-quality ingredients wherever possible and offer a variety of choices, including vegetarian options daily.

Breakfast

Before school starts students can get food from the canteen, to make sure they are ready for Tutor Time and the day ahead. The Lakeside Diner opens at 8:30am for breakfast.

Break & Lunchtime

At breaktime and lunchtime students can buy a range of food from our food outlets, from fish and chips, pasta and curry to wraps and sandwiches. Menus for the Lakeside Diner and Woodland Eats can be found on this page alongside tariffs.

To buy food or drinks students need to have money in their dinner money account, which should be set up at home before school starts. This can be done online via MyChildAtSchool (MCAS). Alternatively there is a cash loader located in The Lakeside Diner, enabling students to add money to their account. Students use their fingerprint or PIN to buy refreshments.

The canteen is a lovely space where students can sit and eat their food (this includes packed lunch) or located around the school site are picnic benches and tables. There is also a breakfast, break and lunch club for any of our SEND students in The Orchard.

Free School Meals

If students qualify for Free School Meals they will have £1 allocated to their account for breakfast, to use before school starts*. Students are allocated an additional £2.75 each day, to purchase snacks, drinks and lunch meals.

Water Bottles

Students are encouraged to bring a re-useable water bottle to school each day to ensure they stay hydrated throughout the day. Water fountains are located in the canteen and other areas of the school to enable students to re-fill their bottles.
