Uniform

When establishing the uniform policy for Meadow Park, we led the way in championing a limit to the number of branded items of uniform and PE kit. Meadow Park was used as a national case study by the Department for Education to demonstrate how a school can successfully introduce a school uniform with a reduced number of branded items, without compromising on its sense of identity and community.

Affordability was a key factor when designing our uniform policy. Meadow Park has just two branded items; the Coventry wide average is five branded items. Non-branded items can be bought from a range of suppliers, from supermarkets to uniform specialists, to ensure that all costs are kept to a minimum, but that the uniform is of the right quality. Sports kit is kept to a minimum, and the school provides kit for competitive sports fixtures or when students are representing the school.

Since September 2003, all students who join Meadow Park are given a blazer and tie free of charge,  as part of a drive to improve and maintain uniform standards.

The blazer and tie can be picked up from our selected uniform supplier, using the voucher in your admission pack. Each child receives a tie that matches the colour of their new school House.

Second Hand Uniform 

The school has a stock of pre-loved uniform items donated to the school. On the last Friday of each month, we run a Uniform Swap Shop, providing FREE uniforms to those who need them.  

Families can donate their old or unused uniforms to the shop. Washed, good-quality uniform that you no longer need can be brought to the swap shop or handed in at Reception at any time during the term. Families can exchange their old uniform for new, pre-loved items that fit better. If you do not have anything to swap, you can make a donation for the items you need.

Our Uniform Swap Shop is open on the last Friday of every month during term-time in the old Visitor Reception, next to the Sixth Form Centre, between 9 am to 10 am and 3 pm to 4 pm. Alternatively, parents and carers may contact the School Office at any time to enquire about pre-loved uniforms.
