Students at Meadow Park School have had an incredible GCSEs results day, as not only have the celebrated some impressive results but they also did so on national television in front of an audience of millions.

Overall, despite a national picture that has seen results fall, outcomes are in line with those achieved in 2019. In addition, BBC Breakfast, Five Live and the national BBC news were also on hand to share the students’ successes.

Bernadette Pettman, Headteacher at Meadow Park School, said: “In light of the challenges our students have encountered in recent years, today’s results are truly exceptional. They stand as a testament to the incredible dedication of our students and the unwavering support provided by our compassionate staff.”

Among the happy students were:

Aarool Bhaalerao who achieved eight 9s
Andrei Tudor who achieved nine grades between 9-7
Julia Ziaja who secured eight top grades
Isobelle McQuiggan who opened results to reveal eight impressive outcomes

Mrs Pettman added: “While it is easy to focus on the many top grades our students achieved, at every level we had young people who secured grades that exceeded all expectations.

“That really sums up the spirit of Meadow Park School. We are a real community, and every success is celebrated. Each young person can leave us with a smile on their face.

“What was also pleasing is that so many students are looking to come and study at our new and enhanced sixth form that opens in September. I am immensely proud of the Class of 2023 and wish them luck in their future endeavours.”
