This summer Coventry have their biggest ever HAF programme, with approximately 150 different activities and experiences all with a meal provided. There’s a huge range of sports activities, arts, coding, trips, theatre, go-karting, music, outdoor activities, cooking – there’s something for everyone. They have approximately 27,000 places available at these activities available with something for everyone.

These are free opportunities for students who receive benefits-related free school meals. Across the country, HAF is making a difference to the quality of holiday experiences for children and young people, and this has a positive impact as they return to school in the Autumn term. HAF-eligible pupils are children who are in reception to year 11 inclusive on benefits-related free school meals are the core group. In Coventry they have added in the following categories of children: child in need, child protection plan, looked after, assessed (through an early help assessment) to be in financial hardship, part of the Ukrainian Family Scheme.
