In PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) lessons, students have the opportunity to develop our whole school values whilst discussing themselves and the world around them.

PSHE education helps pupils to develop the knowledge, skills, and qualities they need to manage life’s challenges and make the most of opportunities.

Our PSHE lessons cover a wide range of topics through the following themes: Health and Wellbeing, The Wider World and Relationships and Sex education. Topics include First Aid, Finance, Contraception, Drugs, Gangs and Mental Health.

Students receive one PSHE lesson a fortnight, delivered by their tutor. These lessons give students the opportunity to learn and discuss a wide range of topics in a safe space. The curriculum’s structure ensures that each new academic year builds on the learning from the previous year to provide students with the knowledge they will need as they develop into secure and confident young adults. Throughout the academic year, we also have specialists come in to deliver workshops to our students on a variety of topics including periods, career aspirations and finance.
